The best camera to buy is the one that feels the most natural for you to handle. It’s a good idea to go to a camera shop and handle the different models. Many people find that Canons or Nikons or Sonys feel different from each other and that one brand feels better than the others.

If you just started doing photography, it’s more than likely too soon to be thinking about going into business. A film SLR is the cheapest, most flexible camera you can buy right now. If you purchase a film SLR from Nikon or Canon, you’ll find that you can use the film lenses on the digital body that you’ll purchase when you are ready to upgrade.

Digital technology has been a prevailing factor why people can now have the ease of access in almost anything they do. Many significant inventions were developed to make it easier for people to finish whatever their jobs require. One concrete proof of this remarkable breakthrough is the digital photography, which implies greater ease and comfort in taking pictures of any kind.

What digital photography means? Digital photography connotes different things depending on how the people interpret it. Some people perceive digital photography as something which converts a traditional photo into digital format by simply using a scanner. Others interpret it as something that is done by means of a traditional picture taken from film and digitize it through the computer. While others see it as something captured digitally by means of a digital camera.

Well generally speaking, digital photography is a type of photography that does not require film. This is the basic concept of digital photo capture. And this is good news for the people because there’s no need to wait for the picture in order for it to be printed. Once you take pictures using a digital camera, the shot goes quickly from the camera and then transferred to the computer. It’s simply because digital photos allows you to use your imagination. You can modify the look and feel of the image without much effort. You can change the background or add a text to the picture to make it more personalized. Whatever it is that you want for your photo, you can have it when it’s digitally captured.

Digital cameras allow you to fix the image quality of your photographs. You can edit, enhance or restore your photo according to your taste. All these can be done in real time.

Now the question is how digital photography can fix the image quality of a certain photo. To ensure that your photo gets the best image quality, you need to check the setting of your digital camera before you press on that click button. If the image is already in your computer, you can check the screen of the computer to verify if it your snapshot is in the highest image quality.

Fixing the image quality of a digital photograph usually involves several elements such as the colors and the contrast. The contrast is very important if you really want to get the best result in your snapshots. If you want to add life to your photos, you can improve the image quality by adjusting its colors. There are lots of things that digital photography offers to make sure that your pictures will come out attractive.

By and large, there is still more to discover about the digital aspect of photography. Some of the issues being deliberated are concerned with the image quality, cost of production, the features of digital camera and other amenities. What pictures should I send to my talent agency?

I applied to an acting/modeling agency a while ago and I need to give them two face pics and two body pics. How should I pose for the pictures? What clothes should I wear? Do I have to go to a professional photography studio or should I take them here at home with a digital camera? Do I need to be in my underwear for the body pics? What angles should be approached for the photographing itself? Thanks.

It really depends upon if you are serious about this or not. If you are, invest in yourself. Get professional images taken. You should have some looking casual, some dressy.

What’s the best ADVANCED digital photography book? Please help!?

I used to have a 35mm photography hobby and am now officially comming back to photography, digital this time. Can anyone please recommend book for digital photography, that include mostly tips and techniques, instead of photoshop that I have a lot of resources for already!

Do you tip a photographer that is doing professional photos for you?

I have having some boudoir portraits done of me today as a Christmas gift for my husband who is currently deployed. I was just curious if I should give a tip to the photographer and if so, how much?

As a photog, my prices are all inclusive and no tips are expected. I charge based on the job requirements and expenses then add in a profit margin based on my time and talent.

I have been tipped at weddings. Generally I will graciously accept it and turn the money over to a money tree or pin it on the brides dress or whatever other means is available. If the tip is given after the event I always try to include additional products or services to the couple. Some wedding photogs will expect tips and even go as far as asking for them. They usually charge lower base rates to get the job and dont earn what they should or could. The client will usually feel like they have been scammed in some way by paying more than they expected or were quoted… kinda like dealing with a used car salesman.

If you think your photog did a great job and want to tip then go ahead and do it. But a better choice would be to give him something that would benefit his future business. A few examples:

Many photogs collect wardrobe items for future shoots. Donate your lingere, shoes, etc to his cause.

Recommend him to your friends and family and coworkers.

Sign a model release that allows him to market your photos.

Ask what his expendable are (film, cd’s, batteries) and give him those items as a gift.

Ask where he shops for camera gear and give him a gift certificate to that store.
